Dear readers, sorry to disappoint you but I'm going off for good~ Tata.

Smoking is bad for health as it leads to low weight babies, lung cancer, emphysema, mouth cancer, and a variety of other serious diseases~ Not only that, it stains the teeth and makes your clothes stinks and eventually death threatening. Cigarette contain over 4,000 chemicals. Some of the ingredients in cigarettes include toxic substances like ammonia that are used in floor cleaners, arsenic found in ant poison, DDT found in insecticide, carbon monoxide found in car exhaust fumes and cadmium which are cancer-causing substance used in car batteries. All of which are harmful to you. Imagine taking over 4000 chemicals at one go and you think its ok if you just take one! Let me tell you, its not!

Let me substantiate my points in the following essay. Many people thinks that it is alright to smoke as long as they don't get addicted, even though that is the case, whenever you smoke, you are still causing severe damage to your own body. Most of the time, people tend to get hooked up with the habit of smoking unknowingly, and as times pass by, their addiction has become too serious as if their life depended on it. This sometimes can lead to withdrawal symptoms when they hadn't smoke for some time and they are completely shut down. Do not think that a single stick of cigarette can't kill, it is definitely a potent poison. With the harmful effects the ciggarettes carry, it can easily take your life away. Therefore I urge you not to smoke, stay away from it for good.

Secondly, smoking can be bad influence to your friends and people in your surroundings. They might find it curious and pick this habit up from you, so it is best not to smoke. Not only that, by smoking you're causing harm to your friends and family and love ones, not only physically but also emotionally as well. By smoking you are harming the health of the people in your surroundings but more importantly, emotionally they are hurt by you. Just watching you smoke, hurts them as you are hurting yourself right in their face and they care and love you too much to let you do it. It is something that no one will want to see their love ones do. Hence, if you do not want to hurt anybody, say NO to smoking and don't even think about it.

Lastly, I like to conclude that you should not be smoking, and the only reason I'm stating so many facts and writing this is to stop you from doing so. It harms you and I know it~ It might seems harmless but the effects are not visible. I really don't want you to smoke because I really care & I love you a lot. I know what I want for you, even though it might not be what you want but its really what I want. I'm using my way of loving, which is to do whats good for you and not do whats bad for you. I'm unreasonable, ain't I? But I'm still going to stand firm of my ideology and not give in to euu for more lollypops. Lollypops are strictly prohibited. Understand? With that I end my case.

男子在高速公路开车途中突昏迷，幸好坐在一旁的妹妹，赶紧扭转驾驶盘，让汽车撞上路堤停下，没酿成大祸。但男子在送进医院后不久就丧命。

　　死者林光华（38岁），叉车司机，未婚，来自马来西亚。他的妹妹林甜甜（34岁，侍应生）昨早在卫生科学局殓尸房受访时说，哥哥住在新山二姐的家，平常是骑电单车来新加坡上班，前天因为要载她，改驾汽车来。

申诉无故冒冷汗

　　她说，哥哥有要事得回芙蓉的住家，因此拿了两天假期，晚上先到二姐家过夜，隔天早上才回家。

　　林甜甜前晚10时许到裕廊地铁站与哥哥会合，哥哥告诉她当晚7时许曾无故冒冷汗，但她也没多加留意。

　　开车约10分钟，来到泛岛高速公路的克兰芝高速公路出口前路段时，她察觉汽车行驶的方向有异，汽车不断向右边滑行。

　　她转头望哥哥，并高声问他“你怎么了！”，但哥哥脸色苍白，双眼闭上，看似昏迷。她赶紧握着驾驶盘，大力转往左边，让汽车撞向左方路堤。

　　由于车速减缓，轮胎一撞及路堤，就缓缓地停下来。饱受惊吓的她，无法自行电召救护车，只是不停地向经过的车辆求救。最终一名年轻男子停下车，协助她电召救护车和报警。

　　救护人员赶到，只见林光华一动也不动地坐在驾驶座上，送入国大医院两小时后不治。
林甜甜说，哥哥本来就不多话，出事前申诉冒冷汗后，就不再提此事，所以她也就不以为意，没想到身体健壮的哥哥，竟然会猝死。
　　警方将此案列为“非自然死亡”性质处理。

Regarding this incident, what I really want to say is. Please be mindful of your health. A lot of times, we tend to neglect symptoms given out by our body telling us that we're not well. Yet, we think that it is just something minor hence, we kept quiet. However, it could be the beggining of something big. Some of us are just simply stubborn and refuses to see the doctor when they are un-well. They chose to self-medicate themselves without professional advice. A wrong application of medicine can sometimes be dangerous. While some others, like the driver tells someone about their situation but they didn't think much of it. Well, then I would advice you to tell someone who really cares. Make sure he/she knows about it, and in case anything happens, he/she will be there. Therefore, please treat your health seriously! You're just as important as anyone else is. Take good care of yourselves!

　继三聚氰胺“毒奶”事件后，中国奶制品进口禁令取消至今，第一批中国制造的奶制品终于重新入口本地，准备上架。
　　农粮与兽医局昨天发表文告表示，由食品制造公司期伟合记（EGO）生产的金熊饼干（golden bear biscuit）是第一个重新上架的中国奶制品。农粮局的检验显示，该产品不含三聚氰胺，公众可以安心食用。已经有5000多公斤的金熊饼干运抵新加坡。

　　去年，中国奶粉中发现添加工业化学物三聚氰胺（melamine），导致多名孩童出现肾结石。农粮局在9月19日宣布暂停进口或销售所有来自中国的牛奶及奶制产品。

　　经过多轮检验后，农粮局终于在上个月允许恢复中国奶制品进口，不过每批中国奶制品在进口前必须受更严密的检查，包括三聚氰胺检测。

After the milk poisoning incident in China, everyone is wary of China Made products. Even though the ban on China products have been lifted, the sales of the products are probably highly affected still. After all, when people purchased items, they will take extra caution and remember the poisoning incident. Thoughts like , "Hey! It could be poisoned with melamine or whatever. Better to be safe than sorry. Hence deterring them from buying this China-made products." Basically, my point of view on it is this. For the time-being, I believed that China-made products are definitely safe to be consumed. Yes, this is because I believed that the incident has put the consumers on guard. Hence, in order to calm the people's heart. It is necessary that they provide QUALITY Goods to prevent such events from happening again. However, I cannot say that it is 100% safe. This is because some shrewd businessmen whom have the their goods left on the shelves before the incident actually struck and did not get rid of it as they were told, may hide these "poisoned" made in China products within this batch of good-quality China products. All they need is some repackaging and they will be able to cut their losses because of the incident to the minimal. I know I sounds contradicting. So do I think it is safe or not? Well, I think it is safe to consumed this China made products. BUT only for the time being. Reasons are as following. Firstly, other countries products could jolly well be contaminated as well, just that it wasn't discovered yet. Secondly, new China products put on the shelves have gone through strict healthy measure examinations. However, the safety measure would COMPROMISE as time passes by after this incident is well forgotten. Thirdly, China products are cheaper sometimes~ Anyway, a lot of people still have their reservation on this matter. Hence, they choose to buy from a brand that they can trust. Yet whether China-made products are safe. Only time will tell.
