（华盛顿法新电）美国候任总统奥巴马认为，恐怖组织卡伊达及其头目奥萨马依旧是美国所面对的“头号威胁”。
奥巴马在奥萨马发表长22分钟的录像声明后对记者说：“美国安全所面对的最大威胁是（奥萨马）本拉登和卡伊达。”
他同候任副总统拜登和共和党参议员格雷厄姆会谈后说：“我们将尽全力、采取所有的行动，确保他们没有办法营造安身之所，筹划袭击美国人的行动。”格雷厄姆刚到过阿富汗、伊拉克和巴基斯坦。

为以袭击加沙报复
奥萨马在他八个月来的首个录像声明中呼吁所有回教徒为以色列袭击加沙展开报复行动。他指以色列刻意在美国总统布什任期快要结束时行动。
美国的现场情报组织确定了这一份录像声明的真确性。
但美国白宫拒绝确认此声明确为奥萨马所录制。美国为抓拿奥萨马定出了2500万美元（3718万新元）的赏金。
但白宫发言人约翰德罗说：“在卡伊达的理论、使命与任务面对置疑的时刻，此录像画面显示出他的孤立以及他尽力发挥影响的意图。”
布什将于本月20日把领导棒子交给奥巴马。奥萨马在录像画面中说：“迹象显示：75％的美国人乐于看到使他们陷入战争泥沼的总统离任。他使得他们处于深重的经济乱局中，他留下重大的负担给接任者。”
他说，奥巴马已经处于困局中，他面对的是两场美国渐渐败落的战争。他说：“如果他退出这两场战争，他是在军事上失败；如果他继续争斗，他就是在招惹经济危机。”
相信藏身于阿富汗边界山区的奥萨马也说，他的战士将开辟新的战场。
他列出的战场包括巴勒斯坦、巴基斯坦的瓦济里斯坦部落地区、非洲北部和索马里。

Most likely, the reappearance of Osama Bin Laden has somehow captured the attention of the world. His appearance during these Global Fiancial Crisis that could be the 2nd Great Depression has very much put the United States of America in a difficult position. With the ongoing fiancial crisis, it is very likely that many countries will only offer minimal interference should a war between the United States of America and Iraq occur. This is because countries are still trying to recover from their own economy and their interference will affect their economy nationwide. Yet what is the true agenda of Osama Bin Laden for sending this video? His military power and army is unknown, perhaps he is just trying to instill fear in the people and give Obama, the new president of United States of America, the message that Osama Bin Laden has already built up a power huge enough to go against the United States Of America or perhaps slow down the economy recovery? Maybe he is just making empty threats, but there are just too many possibilities. George Bush is hugely responsible for the feud between Iraq and the USA, if hadn't for his foolish actions to send in troops to attack Iraq without a valid reason, it wouldn't have sandwiched USA between war and the economic crisis today. Should a war really break out, it'll trigger many other war between countries with conflict such as Thailand, Indonesia.. etc. This is because USA will not be able to render help to any other countries because they have to take care of themselves first. Therefore, they have no need to be afraid that there will be interference from the USA as it is one of the most major powers. Yet, I look forward to Barack Obama's way of dealing with the situation. Should there be any mistakes in the decision he made, it will affect the world.
